Kate Stedronsky, a Recruiter with Teachers for Tomorrow coordinates all aspects of college recruitment, including creating job posts on college career sites, attending college career fairs, and working to establish connections with Early Childhood Education students.
Kate is also responsible for meeting with center directors to share with them the benefits of contracting with Teachers For Tomorrow. She talks with them directly about their staffing needs and thoroughly goes over the contract, answering any questions they may have. She maintains an open relationship with each center by contacting them regularly through newsletters and following up on the placement of the teachers in their programs and their effectiveness.
Kate is a big believer in NAEYC accreditation and she supports high quality early childhood programs. She is a qualified NAEYC consultant and has personally consulted approximately 20 childcare centers through the accreditation process, with all centers obtaining accreditation. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development and Family Relations from South Dakota State University and has completed all coursework toward her Masters in the same field.
Kate is no stranger to Early Childhood Education, having spent 15 years as a teacher and a director, which taught her the importance of hiring well educated, good quality early childhood educators and training and supporting them to be successful in the field. Overall, Kate has more than 25 years of childcare experience. Her work history includes, 2 years as a Teaching Assistant at the Lab School at SDSU, 3 years as a Child Life Specialist, and 25 years with Knowledge Learning Corporation in a variety of roles including teacher, assistant director, director, and finally as a consultant which she still does today.
Kate enjoys being involved in her church and in her spare times, she enjoys biking, boating, and cooking. She is married and is the mother to 3 boys, 2 in college and a teenager at home. Her most valued time is when they are all home, enjoying one another’s company.
